Disclaimer

Rail Crew Tests is an independent practice resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any train operating company, Network Rail, the Rail Delivery Group, any trade union or any test publisher, and we do not act on behalf of any of them. Operator names are used only to describe whose recruitment process a page discusses, and all trade marks belong to their owners. Every rule book, ticket, fare, scenario, passage and question on this site is invented by us for practice; none of it is real assessment content and none of it is taken from a real test. No operator publishes a pass mark, a cut score or a pass rate for these assessments, so we publish none either, and practising here guarantees no score, no interview and no job. Your invitation letter from the operator is the only authority on what you will actually sit.

No affiliation or endorsement

Rail Crew Tests is an independent business. We are not part of, approved by, endorsed by or working with any train operating company, Network Rail, the Rail Delivery Group, any trade union, or any organisation involved in writing, delivering or marking the assessments used in on-board recruitment. Nothing on this site is official operator information.

Operator names are used only descriptively, to say whose recruitment process a page discusses. All trade marks belong to their owners.

Original practice content

The real assessments are proprietary, and their content is confidential. Every rule book, ticket, fare, scenario, passage and question on this site is original work created by Rail Crew Tests, written or generated from publicly available descriptions — operator job adverts and accounts applicants have posted publicly. We do not have, use, or accept real assessment content, and we ask you never to send us any. If you believe something here reproduces protected material, please contact us and we will review it promptly.

Because the real content is not public, our exercises practise the same kinds of skill in a similar shape. They are not identical to any real assessment in appearance, length, difficulty or marking, and operators may change what they use at any time.

No pass mark, and no pass rate

No train operator publishes a pass mark, a cut score or a pass rate for these assessments. The standard is set by the operator and is not public. Nothing on this site tells you what score you need, and you should treat any site that claims to know as guessing.

Descriptions of the stages, the exercises, the medical and the recruitment process are given in good faith from publicly available sources and may be incomplete or out of date. Your invitation letter, and the operator's own careers pages, are the only authority on your process.

No guarantee of results

Using Rail Crew Tests does not guarantee any score, interview, offer or job. Scores and feedback on this site are unofficial, apply only to our own practice exercises, and are a rough guide for tracking your practice rather than a prediction of your real result.

Refunds

If Rail Crew Tests is not right for you, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. See our Terms of Service for details.
