Ticket Checking practice
A ticket checking exercise appears in a large share of on-board assessments, sometimes on its own and sometimes as the second half of a combined fares-and-checking test. You are shown a ticket and a set of circumstances — date, time, route, railcard, class — and you decide whether it is valid, and if not, why not. At some operators the same skill is assessed on paper at an assessment centre rather than online.
